Temporary Electrician/Improver/Mate required to work around the Essex area, further travel may be required occasionally.
My client is happy to take on a Domestic electrician if you fancy a change of scene and would like to try something different from Domestic jobs. Solar Electrician is more niche and full training will be provided.
Job Responsibilities:
- Install string cables onto photovoltaic (PV) array tables.
- Terminate DC mains cables at combiner boxes and inverter stations.
- Make off MC4 connectors at panels and combiner boxes.
- Terminate communication cables (RS485, CAT5, CAT6).
- Conduct inspections, testing, and commissioning of PV solar systems according to the latest edition of BS EN (phone number removed) and other relevant standards.
- Diagnose and resolve electrical issues efficiently.
- Adhere to company safety protocols and industry standards
Skills & Qualifications required:
- NVQ Level 2/3 Electrical Installation or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations certification.
- Test and Inspect certification (2391 or equivalent) preferred.
- JIB Gold card or ECS Card.
- Experience in Solar electrical work is preferred but not essential.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Common Sense and reliability, essential.
- Full UK driving license.
Offering £150-200+ per day depending on the above skills/qualifications. The more you have from the above, the more you will be offered. You will need to go through an Umbrella Company, your own or a recommended one. This Temporary/Contract, if all goes well could go permanent, if you choose too and all goes well.
- working hours; Mons-Thurs 7am-5pm with an hour for lunch, Fridays 7am-2pm.
- Overtime will be paid, 1x3 weekend work with travel expenses + £25 upfront food costs, if required to stay away.
