IT Support Technician required to work near Newbury/Berkshire. Due to my client's location, you will need to have your own transport.

Job purpose:
You will be responsible for the support of information technology services. You will work on the planning, development and execution of approved solutions and services. Core operational functions requiring support include service desk management and escalation along with incident management, problem management, request fulfillment. This must be achieved through establishing effective working relationships with all support teams and contacts throughout the staff base of my client.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Take responsibility for the smooth running of all of my client's desktops; laptops; tablets; smart devices; Operating Systems and applications.
- Act as a point of escalation to troubleshoot and resolve issues as required.
- Support compliance-based assessments, with emphasis on user access controls and records.
- Own Key Performance Indicator (KPI) targets, with appropriate analysis for continual improvement.
- Provide support for all IT related projects (there will be a need for out of hours working, including nights and weekends).
Skills required:
- Typically at least 3yrs+ years of technical delivery and support experience, in roles that require involvement and understanding of ITIL based service delivery. Aware of industry and professional standards. Experienced in the deployment of policies and standard operating procedures. Worked within a service desk environment.Familiar with remote assistance using prescribed tools such as; TeamViewer and Teams.

- Understands service desk operations and tools such as ManageEngine. Knowledge of: Windows desktop administration; Microsoft Office suite; LAN/WAN maintenance; audio visual solutions and IT security.
- Analytical Thinking – Effective at acquiring an understanding of a problem or situation and developing an approach to interacting with the situation.
- Qualifications – Degree qualified and/or relevant professional qualification and experience (e.g. degree in computer systems, infrastructure or related field).
Please note;
- you will need to work in my client's offices 5 days a week, Monday to Friday so you must live near to Newbury to be considered.
- Also, you will be required to work some Saturdays but only working hours 8.30am -12.30pm, you will receive leave in time in lieu .3 of you in the team and one to cover every Sat on a rota.
- Normal working hours are 08.00am-4.30pm & 10.00am-6.30pm shifts.
