Job Responsibilities

  • The IT Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring that our users receive excellent IT services and application availability.
  • You will oversee the management and performance of outsourced IT infrastructure and service desk functions.
  • The role will troubleshoot IT issues and manage escalations with the Managed Service Providers and the Head of IT.
  • Oversee the integration of cloud services, particularly Microsoft Azure, into the existing IT infrastructure;
  • Oversee the maintenance and administration of network, Servers and systems to ensure optimal performance and security;
  • Implement and manage IT projects, including upgrades, migrations, and new installations; collaborating with vendors as needed;
  • Assist with incident management and effectively manage escalations
  • Ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met and monitor performance metrics to ensure high-quality service delivery;
  • Support all aspects of change and transition management as well as support the delivery of IT solutions, services and processes
  • Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure efficient and secure operations;
  • Manage and optimise IT operational processes, including incident management, security incident management, change management and problem resolution
  • System administration of the firm's critical applications where they are not managed by an managed service provider
  • Ensure the firm's IT operations adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements, including data protection and cybersecurity standards;
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks
  • Safeguards assets by planning and implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures;
  • Track project progress, manage project risks, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones

Skills Required

  • Strong experience in; Vendor Management, Infrastructure Management, Service Delivery, IT Operations, IT Security & Project Management.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices
  • Experience of working in an ITIL environment particularly with change and operations management
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure, Exchange Online and Microsoft 365 is required;
  • Strong experience with Microsoft on premise products including Active Directory, Exchange and SQL Server;
  • Strong technical background with experience in managing outsourced IT services and vendor relationships;
  • Legal background desirable and knowledge of systems such as; iManage.

This role offers hybrid working - 2 days WFH/3 days office based. Mon-Fri, 9-5pm.
