Finance D365 Business Data Analyst needed who has worked within Utilities.
This is a fully remote contract however, you will be on occasions, be required to come in to their office in Berkshire. For the first two weeks you will need to meet the team, in three different offices across the UK. After then it will be remote with the odd once a month travel (if that).
Job purpose:
• My client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented D365 Business Data Analyst to join their team, within the utilities sector.
• As a data analyst, you will play a crucial role in analysing, monitoring, and interpreting financial data to provide valuable insights to management and stakeholders.
• The role would sit within the IT department and would work closely with, and contribute towards, the up-skilling of an internal team of data analysts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Financial Reporting and Analysis:
• Gather, analyze, and interpret financial data from various sources, including the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
• Prepare financial reports, statements, and KPIs to provide insights into the organization’s financial health.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards using D365 Finance and Operations modules.
• Utilize Microsoft Power BI to create visual representations of financial data.
• Work with the Azure data lake team to design and implement data storage and retrieval solutions.
• Partner with financial business units to understand their reporting needs and provide timely insights.
• Support Digital Transformation initiatives, including go-live activities and post-implementation support.
Skills required:
• Proven experience as a Financial Business Data Analyst within the utilities industry.
• In-depth understanding of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O) modules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for creating visualizations.
• Familiarity with SQL Server, Reporting Services (SSRS), and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Qualifications but not essential; Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
