Business Analytics Manager - Fully Remote. This role is fully remote but would require you to be in a commutable distance of London or Hertfordshire or Surrey for occasional meetings only when needed!
You will be responsible for overseeing the divisional business data analytics initiatives and strategy. Working closely with senior business leaders and business partners across all functional and segment areas, to understand their data analysis needs.
The role will leverage existing and develop data analysis strategies whilst delivering high-quality analytical solutions to support their operational and strategic goals. This is a ‘hands on’ rolewhere it is expected to have the relevant technical background.
The position will build, lead and manage a team of highly skilled Power BI and Data Engineers & Analysts to deliver the Business Dashboard and reporting requirements using advanced data and predicative analytical modelling techniques.
In return my client offers a salary of £85k-£90k, £5k Car/Car Allowance, pension matched up to 8%, discretionary bonus, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, with the opportunity to purchase an additional 5 days annually and BUPA Healthcare.
You must have:
- Proven experience (7+ years) in Business data analytics or data science role, with a track record of leading, managing teams and delivery.
- Strong knowledge of data analytics concepts, methodologies, and tools, including statistical analysis, data modelling, data visualisation, and data mining techniques.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualisation tools, such as Power BI, Python, R, SQL, Tableau.
- Solid understanding of data management principles, data governance, and data quality best practices.
- Experience with data warehouse technologies and data integration processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into meaningful insights and actionable recommendations.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of data analysts.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of industry-specific regulations and compliance requirements related to data analytics.
- Continuous learning mindset and the ability to adapt to evolving technologies and analytical techniques.
Role involves:
- Lead and manage a team of Power BI and Data Engineers & Analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support in their day-to-day activities and career development.
- Define the data analytics strategy and roadmap for the organisation, aligning it with the overall business objectives and priorities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and identify opportunities where data analytics can drive value and provide actionable insights.
- Design and implement data analytics frameworks, processes, and methodologies to ensure accurate data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Oversee the development and implementation of data models, dashboards, reports, and visualizations for the Business stakeholders.
- Conduct advanced data analysis and data mining methods to identify opportunities for improvements in the organisation.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency by establishing data quality standards, data governance processes, and data cleansing procedures.
- Stay updated on emerging data analytics technologies, tools, and best practices, and assess their potential applicability to improve the organization's analytics capabilities.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure the availability, security, and scalability of data analytics infrastructure, including data storage, processing, and visualization platforms.
