1st/2nd Line IT Support Engineer. Based in Manchester City Centre, my client has a new requirement for for an IT Support Engineer. This role offers 2 days remote with 3 days site-based working. You must have 2 years plus recent experience within an similar IT Support Engineer / 1st and 2nd Line IT Support role (actually resolving calls) – please only send in your CV if you have this experience, with technical skills in Windows 10/Windows 11, Active Directory (password resets etc), MS Office, good problem solving skills, clear & concise telephone manner.
You must also have a flexible approach to working hours as the role does require out of hours support and weekend work (on call allowance and an additional payment is in place when support required).
You must have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Windows 10/Windows 11.
- Active Directory.
- Good analytical and organisational skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Desktop OS.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 applications.
- Good working knowledge MS Teams.
- Working knowledge of Wi-Fi in a commercial environment.
- Flexible approach with working hours outside the norm.
Role involves:
- Provide IT support for end users.
- To assist with the development and implementation of IT policies and procedures.
- Day to day administration of the networks hardware, software, infrastructure and end users.
- To provide remote monitoring and on site system support.
- To assist with IT Network and Systems issues.
- To support the EPOS, ticketing and telephone system applications.
- To monitor IT security and support the administration functions.
- To support a number of IT projects, upgrade and change programmes.
- Management of Spam/Anti-virus systems
